Tony Stark (Marvel)

A rich playboy billionare. His father was also an inventor. Tony Stark was a weapons maker, and he went to Vietnam. Tony Stark was going to demonstrate a weapon, when an explosion occurred and some shrapnel got in his chest. Tony was kidnapped by terrorists who wanted him to build them a weapon. An old man was also there, and he put a repulsor in Stark's chest to help keep the shrapnel from reaching his heart. Instead of building the weapon, the two of them built the first Iron Man suit. Tony used the suit to get out, and the old man died causing a distraction. Tony decided to use his suit to stop crime. Over the years, Stark has made several Iron Man suits, each a bit different then the ones before.
